Course Upgrades
The Seneca Disc Golf Course is under going some changes this off season. The club has purchased eight additional sleeves and eight holes will have alternative pin placements by spring time.
Work has begun. Hole #2 will have a longer, slightly left placement that will make it a bit harder to get a deuce and cause bad tee shots have a difficult time saving the three.
Hole #3’s new pin placement is going to be where the large pile of brush used to sit. It has been cleared. It will make the long 2 possible. The distance off the tee will be close to the current location with the big difference being a straight shot when you turn the first corner.
Hole #4 will be a much more difficult hole. An additional 100′ plus is being added. With the additional distance also comes with a more open hole. The left side of the fairway has been opened and the Disc eating bush/vines on the right-side of the fairway have been removed.
Hole 5 will have an additional long location farther down toward the green-way. The hole will have a chance of going OB on upshots to the pin that go long.
Hole 11’s new location is on the other-side of the creek at an additional 100′ + with a difficult second shot if you don’t turn the corner.
Hole 12’s alternative location isn’t set in stone yet. One possibility is going long left and the other is long right. Both potential locations have been cleared.
Hole 13 will be farther left than where it is now. A good tee shot will have the same chances of a birdie run as the current location but if you don’t have nice drive, saving the three will be hard work.
Hole 15’s new location hasn’t been cleared yet and there is still discussion among the club as where to put the second pin placement.
There will be a Sunday doubles in Seneca soon to get feedback before moving the baskets. Details will be available here.
