Walking the land
More scouting of land in Seneca and Chua Ram today. A few of us will be meeting at Shaver Rec in Seneca this morning to once again walk land and share ideas on a course design.
The second course at Seneca’s Shaver Complex has not been approved yet but club members are hopeful that the Seneca City Council will vote to fund an additional 18 baskets when they meet on Tuesday.
If funded, the course would have 52+ acres of land to work with. The land that would be used as nice elevation changes, a creek that rolls through, some old growth oak trees and lots of scrub pine trees.
The land was once used to harvest pine and there are still some logging trails/road cut through the property. Hopes are that the old roads can either be used as fairways or to transition between holes.
Once approval for the course is granted, we’ll post the information here.
