GREATER OCONEE DISC GOLF CLUB

OUR STORY

The mission of the Greater Oconee Disc Golf Club (GODGC) is to foster, promote, and improve the sport and community of disc golf in Oconee County, SC.

We wouldn’t be where we are today if it weren’t for the original GODG Team. Our history plays a big part of our ability to have this club.

  • 2003
    The City of Seneca Recreation Department installs an 18-hole disc golf course — now referred to as “Shaver OG.”

  • 2010
    A course is installed at Chattooga Belle Farm.

  • 2011
    The Walhalla Recreation Department designed and installed Sertoma Disc Golf Course.

  • 2019
    R.W. Abel and the City of Seneca worked tirelessly to build & open the Championship Course at Shaver Recreation Department.

  • 2021
    The Chau Ram County Park finalizes Chauga Rapids disc golf course.

  • 2022
    The Greater Oconee Disc Golf Club is officially formed as a non-profit organization and grows to over 100 members in its first year.

  • 2023
    Work is finalized on a disc golf course at Walhalla High School.
